Omaha, NE

You might have read in the about section of the website, I live in Omaha and go to Creighton. Its been amazing but a surreal experience since this was the first city I moved to live on my own without my parents to having explored quite a few things. The city has a lot to offer. From exploring the Old Market in downtown Omaha to exploring night life in Omaha. The Omaha weather can be quite notorious though; at one moment it could be pretty bright but on the other side it would start raining.

My favorite part of being in Omaha is that I could easily walk to downtown and some other areas that are closer to Creighton’s campus but on the hindsight a lot of the things are way too far to walk, so the only way to reach there is to do uber (prices are terribly expensive!!) or ask friends. Not having a car but still wanting to explore the city of Omaha has led me to make a lot of friends who are willing to go with me to explore the city and try out new restaurants or coffee shops. In addition, coming from an Indian family, I wanted to find a community that I could feel I belonged to and therefore joined two student organizations on campus and subscribed to receive emails from Indian Association of Nebraska.
