Well, to everyone who’s wondering where in the world did me and my family move from Courtland, New York. Welcome to the blog. This is the place for you to be at. Well, I know you cannot pronounce the name of the city in the title and are struggling to read it like everyone struggled with my name in the beginning but this is the city I grew up in India. My parents to this date live in the city.
Ok! A little backstory. I was born in Philadelphia, PA and then we moved to Courtland New York for a while before moving to India where I studied till senior year of high school.
Well, I know anyone who’s reading this at the moment has a question on why I am writing about this right now, right? I am writing about this because I go back home over the winter break.
A little backstory about the city: Dombivli is a city located near Mumbai in the Thane district of Maharashtra state, India. It is part of Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The climate is warm and humid. The land here is rough and rocky by nature. Dombivli is served by Mumbai Suburban railway network, i.e. it lies on the main line of the central section of Mumbai suburban railway network. Built in 1886, it is one of the busiest stations on the Central line and witnesses a footfall of more than 300 thousand commuters daily. Though none of the long journey express trains halt here, it is well connected to Mumbai and Navi Mumbai through Thane. Though during rush hours the station is an unacceptably over-crowded affair. Distance between Dombivli and Thane is 25 km (16 mi). Distance between CSMT (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus) and Dombivli is 50 km (31 mi). Wikipedia
Well, I don’t have a timeline of places I went at because I planned out my day depending on how free my friends and my parents were, therefore I did not have to plan on places to go to on a particular day like you all saw in my New York blogs.
What was the highlight of the trip?: The highlight of the trip was seeing my family after an entire year and going on trip with them and seeing my friends from high school after such a long time.
